I was analyzing query logs for the steel search trends page upgrades and noticed bunch of valid queries returning empty results. Further analysis of the database revealed about two dozen hidden alloy names, i.e. valid alloys, but not flagged properly. Fixed those. Also fixed a bug preventing correct processing of the steels with - and spaces in them. In some cases they also returned empty results. All that is well now :) So, I can proceed with improvements and upgrades to steel search trends statistics...

Added new alloy names, mainly German W-Nr steel standard names, although a few British old BS standard names were added as well.

Took a long time to get through all the hurdles, but finally the app is published, and available for free. 4700 alloy names for now, with ~900 compositions, 17 international steel standards and up to 5 alloy comparison capability. Syncs with central database as well.

Tough day. First I've released 3.50 which had rather large set of new features, specifically, alloy listings based on standard, makers, countries and technologies. Earlier, only quick Standard switching was supported. Plus, added rte me button, may be that'll make it easier for ppl to rate the app. And in 1 hour after release I found a crash, which happened only on older android versions. Took another 2 hours to fix, test, package and publish 3.51... I guess serves me well for not testing on the old device before releasing the app.

Arrived yesterday. The knife is a beast, at lest for a folder it is a beast. Started carrying it already, but the grand plan is to have custom blade made for it. Crucible CPM S30V steel is a good one, and Spyderco does good job with its HT, but that knife deserves better steel. Now, all I have to do, find a maker who will make it happen...

Added 50+ new names to the database. About 40 new names were added for German W-Nr and DIN standards, all for carbon steels equivalent to AISI 10xx, 41xx, 51xx. And finally, about 10 new names for Chinese GB steel standard, various areas, carbon steels, ball bearing alloys and so on.

Added over 100 new names to the database. Bunch of stainless alloy names were added to Poland PN standard steels. About a dozen stainless alloy names for Japanese maker Daido steels. About 30 new names were added for German W-Nr and DIN standards, all for carbon steels equivalent to AISI 10xx series.. And finally, about 10 new names for old British BS steel strandard, again, carbon steels. Well, half a dozen new names for Chinese GB steel standard as well :)

Found it on Spyderco site, but can't find it on Cartech. Can't find a knife made out of it by Spyderco either, may be in the future. High carbon, stainless steel, with 4% of Molybdenum in it.
